As you can see in the video below, the development is progressing well and changing each day. We’ve put together the below summary that captures all the recent action to keep you up to speed:
- Stage 2 earthworks are now complete. The earthworks team has now moved on to completing the works on what will be the new cellar door site.
- Stage 2A civil construction is progressing well with sewer, stormwater, water, and services now installed and pavement construction will commence in the coming week. The underground services need to be installed before the pavement construction can commence.
- Stage 2B civil construction is also progressing with sewer construction underway.
- The new roundabout and underpass at the entrance to Wooing Tree Estate are being constructed by Fulton Hogan. The earthworks are complete and the kerbing has been installed. This is scheduled to be complete at the end of 2022. There will be some disruptions to local traffic so if you are in the area at this time please plan for this when travelling.
Masterplan Revision
In concert with our design team, we have updated our masterplan within a small part of Stage 3 and 4. The update has improved pedestrian and cyclist connectivity from west to east and reduced the number of priority (‘T’) intersections in the development. We have also increased the area of green space in both the Wooing Tree Park and interconnecting greenways (net increase of circa 2,400sqm).
These changes were necessitated primarily as a result of consent requirements and have been implemented to improve the urban design characteristics of both the overall project and specific roads that have changed.
