Civil works in preparation for construction of a new Wooing Tree cellar door and commercial/retail area at the entrance to Wooing Tree Estate, start this month.
The new Wooing Tree Wines cellar door, which is on schedule for building to begin in November and opening in July/August 2023, promises to become a popular destination for wine lovers from as they pass by on SH 8B from Wanaka and Queenstown to sample Wooing Tree’s award-winning wines. As well as tastings the cellar door will offer restaurant style meals and offer plenty of space for functions and events.
On the opposite corner of the estate’s entrance will be a new retail area with an excellent café and retailer to be officially announced in coming months. Construction is due to start in February 2023 and be complete by November 2023.
A new childcare centre to be built at Wooing Tree Estate will cater for 80-90 pre-schoolers with construction scheduled in March and the centre opening in late 2023.
And Veros Director, Duarne Lankshear says in 2023 we will be likely to announce a motel/hotel to be built at Wooing Tree Estate to support travellers and the large number of visitors using the region’s bike trail network.
“All of this work at the entrance with the underpass and in the commercial area will integrate Wooing Tree Estate and really make it part of Cromwell Town Centre.”
